I am a middling, middle aged, Cat IV road racer. I only started racing 3 years ago. 2009 will be my 4th year. I do okay in the local park races and criteriums, but poorly in the out-of-town road races that involve climbing. I should be a better climber given my weight, but I'm not.
After my 1st year of racing, I joined the Kissena Cycling Club. It's a greatclub with a history that goes back to 1964, making it the 2nd oldest club in NYC. We promote a bunch of races in Prospect Park, Floyd Bennet Field, and a few other places, too.
